Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction

Devoted to the trend issue of Energy Conservation and related effort, State Post Bureau China National Philatelic Corporation issued stamp set on June 5, 2010. The issue composed of two stamp depicts  posters of energy conservation and emission reduction that will recall every one in the world to consider it and to follow the recommend action by government to eliminate the global warming effect.

Energy conservation are  efforts that made to reduce energy consumption. Energy conservation can be achieved through increased efficient energy use, with  decreasing energy consumption and/or reducing the consumption of conventional energy sources.
The implementation of Energy conservation will  result more benefit effects  such as :  the     increasing  of financial capital, environmental quality, national security, personal security, and human comfort.
Individuals and organizations that are direct consumers of energy choose to conserve energy to reduce energy costs and promote economic security. Industrial and commercial users can increase energy use efficiency to maximize profit.

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the burning of fossil fuels has contributed to the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from 280 ppm to 390 ppm, despite the uptake of a large portion of the emissions through various natural "sinks" involved in the carbon cycle (^ ESRL Web Team (2008-01-14). "Trends in carbon dioxide". Retrieved 2011-09-11.) Increment of carbon dioxide will generate the greenhouse effect.

A greenhouse gas  is a gas in an atmosphere that absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. The primary greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Greenhouse gases greatly affect the temperature of the Earth; without them, Earth's surface would be on average about 33 °C colder than at present. Therefore effort to reduce gas emission is very importance for anticipation of global warming. (Resources data from Wikipedia)
