Golf is a precision club-and-ball sport, in which competing players (golfers), using many types of clubs, attempt to hit balls into each hole on a golf course while employing the fewest number of strokes. Golf is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area. Instead, the game is played on golf "courses," each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either nine or 18 holes.
Alderney Golf Club is a beautiful links course situated in Route des Carrieres, Alderney, in the Channel Islands. With 18 tees and 9 greens the course presents a true challenge to even low handicap golfers. The key to scoring well on the course is in course management where you will need to keep to the tight fairways and take consideration of the sea breezes. The course offers some of the most stunning views in the Channel Islands and holds regular Open Competitions in the Summer months where players are welcome from any club.
