In 2005, the special sheet of the Republic of San Marino has dedicated to the Great Wines produced in the Italian peninsula. It’s a new and original idea that promotes awareness of focuses attention on some of the wines that have played an important part in the history of Wine in Italy and in the world.
The great wines had been selected by professionals in the sector, the following producers, Ferrari Brut, Amarone Quintarelli, Cartizze Canevel, Brunello di Montalcino Biondi-Santi, Marsala Florio, Verdicchio Fazi Battaglia, Sassicaia, Taurasi dei Feudi di San Gregorio, Tocai Friulano Schioppetto and Barolo Altare, were the first to agree to provide the labels for inclusion in this matter. San Marino Post has chosen insert in one sheet 10 stamps of 0.45 euros each, reproducing the ten labels in a neat and essential manner, thereby creating a new original label that gives an idea of the taste of the desired wine.
