Albert Namatjira -painter

Albert Namatjira is perhaps Australia's best known Aboriginal painter, with his work forming one of the foundations of contemporary Indigenous Australian art and best known for his watercolour Australian outback desert landscapes.  

 Namatjira's artworks were colourful and varied depictions of the Australian landscape. At the time of his death Namatjira had painted a total of around two thousand paintings and had two short biographical films made about him.
