Traditional transportation on Indonesian stamp

Indonesia have many traditional transportation, because Indonesia have many cultures which scattered in thousand islands. To commemorate this traditional culture of transportation, Indonesian Post issued a stamp set depicts on stamps such as Becak Dayung, Andong, and Perahu.

Becak Dayung is a sort of three-wheeled bike that can be used to transport people or goods from one place to another place.



Andong is a horse drawn  four  wheeled  carriage.  Other  similar Andong is Delman or  Dokar has two wheeled carriage. Andong and Dokar are mostly found in Jogjakarta and Surakarta.




Perahu (Boat) is vehicle like canoe in shape that travels on water. This vehicle almost found in Kalimantan Island, West Kalimantan, Central  Kalimantan , South  Kalimantan  and  East  Kalimantan. There are many type of Perahu depend of region and culture.
